About Friends of Namibia International

Friends of Namibia International is a consortium of people of all walks of life who have one thing in common. We love Namibia. While the group is comprised mostly of Returned Peace Corps Volunteers who have served in Namibia, anyone is welcome to join.

We are a new 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in the USA (EIN 92-0453706) and National Peace Corps Association Affiliate group. Our implementing partner is the Afrisource Foundation, a Namibia based organization operated by Returned Peace Corps Volunteers.

Mission

The Mission of Friends of Namibia International is to provide a platform and network for our membership to maintain their connection to Namibia and to each other, while continuing efforts to promote meaningful and sustainable development in Namibia.

The Friends of Namibia International organization seeks to:

  1. Promote friendship between the people of Namibia and those living around the world who have a connection to Namibia.
  2. Facilitate meaningful connections to support and empower Namibians to advance their development objectives and promote overall well being.
  3. Connect Returned Peace Corps Volunteers and affiliates with Peace Corps Namibia and Namibian communities.
